Description

This is a late 19th-century house built on an 18th-century core, located on Corve Street in Ludlow. The house has an L-shaped plan. The front of the building is brick, with a Welsh slate roof and a brick stack at the rear. The front elevation features a three-window arrangement with 2/2 sash windows in moulded surrounds. The central entrance features a fielded panel door, with a small, glazed section above, sheltered by an open pediment supported by consoles. Flanking the entrance are tripartite windows with a 1/1:2/2:1/1 sash arrangement, all set within moulded cases and under segmental arches. A seam is visible to the left. The left returned side is stuccoed, while the right returned side is also stuccoed and incorporates an 18th-century window with a casement to the first floor of a plain-tiled wing at the rear. This wing also features an 18th-century 8/8 sash window and a 19th-century tripartite light with a central casement. A stepped brick buttress-stack is present on the gable, accompanied by a 19th-century casement set under a segmental arch.
