Description
This early 19th-century house, now used as offices and a shop, is situated on Corve Street in Ludlow. The building is constructed of painted brick with a Welsh slate roof and brick end stacks. It follows a lobby entry plan and comprises three storeys and a cellar, with a three-window front. The central window is a Venetian design featuring a Gothic-glazed head and 2/2, 6/6, 2/2 sash windows. Flanking these are further 6/6 sash windows set within moulded cases. The windows are topped with grooved and keyblocked stucco lintels, and the eaves are moulded. A central 4-panel door with a fanlight is set within a plain case, sheltered by an open pediment hood supported on pilasters. Plate glass windows flank the door, also with grooved and keyblocked stucco lintels. A part-glazed door was inserted in the late 19th century, accompanied by a moulded case and architrave, beneath a moulded pediment hood. The ground floor features moulded ceiling cornices and architraves.
