Description

This is a house dating from the 16th and 17th centuries, with later alterations. It is constructed of coursed rubble with a plain tile roof. A roughcast brick stack stands at one end, and another is at the rear. The house has a lobby entry plan and extends over two storeys and a cellar, with a four-window front. The windows are mostly 19th-century casements, featuring a central semi-dormer and a 20th-century casement within a larger opening on the right side. Earlier rafters are visible beneath the eaves. The central entrance has a 19th-century part-glazed door set within a beaded oak frame, and three late 19th-century windows with quarter casements are also present. The left-hand return side shows a roughcast gable set back above the eaves level, covered by a tiled pentice, and with brick quoins. The rear elevation is of brick, with exposed box framing and a mid-20th-century gable incorporating a tiled roof.
