Farmhouse. Late C17, partly remodelled mid-C19 with later additions and alterations. Timber-framed with painted brick infill and partial red brick rebuilding, slate roof. T-plan with lean-to addition in angle to north-east. One storey and attic with two storeys to rear gable. Framing: visible to gabled rear range and back wall of main range; large rectangular panels with long straight tension braces, collar and tie-beam truss to rear gable with four vertical struts. 2-window front, late C20 casements with C19 segmental heads to left and right of C20 gabled brick and glass porch with contemporary gabled eaves dormers directly above; external red brick end stacks, top of left one rebuilt in late C20 brick. INTERIOR: timber frame exposed to back wall, cross wall of main range and to gabled rear range; chamfered spine beams with straight-cut stops and heavy joists in two main ground-floor rooms. Single-purlin roof in two bays has central collar and tie-beam truss with V- struts from collar. Late C20 additions set back to right are not of special architectural interest.
