Description

This cowhouse, located approximately 50 yards north-west of Abcott Manor, dates from the early 18th century. It features weatherboarded timber framing set on a high plinth made of limestone rubble and brick, topped with a corrugated iron roof. The structure consists of three framed bays arranged in an east-west direction and is one storey high with a loft. There are two square openings on the ground floor and a loft opening on the left side. A boarded door is positioned to the left of centre. Inside, the cowhouse has jointed and pegged king-post roof trusses. It is included in the listing for its group value.
