Description
Clungunford Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with later alterations. It features early to mid-17th century timber framing with brick infill, along with late 17th century roughcast brick additions. The roofs are covered with slate, and there are brick stacks. The timber-framed wing is aligned east-west and faces west. There are T-shaped brick additions to the south of the main range, which are aligned north-south and have opposed entrances at the south end, along with a southern cross wing.
To the left, there is a projecting two-storey gabled wing with square panel framing, straight braces, and a first-floor jetty. The roof truss consists of a collar and tie beam with v-struts above the collar and three vertical struts below. The late 17th century addition to the right has two storeys and an attic. The fenestration is irregular and from the 20th century, while there is an early 19th century gabled dormer. The projecting gabled wing to the right features a ground floor bay window. The interior has not been inspected.
