Description

Clungunford House is a large house built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of rendered brick with a slate roof and features brick stacks. The house is aligned east-west and faces west, with extensive service wings at the rear. It has two storeys and is arranged in a 1:2:1 pattern of glazing bar sashes. There are two projecting wings with pedimented gables that flank a central recess, which includes a three-bay Doric portico and a six-panel door. The north and south elevations of the main house also display a 2:1:2 arrangement of glazing bar sashes, with a central gabled break. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
