Description
This is a milepost located approximately 330 metres southeast of Burnt Tree Cross in Berrington, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is made of painted cast iron and features raised lettering and edges. The milepost has a triangular section with a chamfered top. The top is lettered with "WENLOCK/8½', while the left side reads "SALOP/4/TO THE COUNTRY" and the right side states "B.NORTH/16½/TO THE TOWN".
