Description
A terrace of five houses located in Berrrington, dating from around 1830 to 1840. The houses are built of red brick with slate roofs, arranged in a shallow "H" shape. There are two storeys with two-storey and attic pavilions projecting at each end. Deep eaves are supported by four brick stacks on the front ridge and two on the rear, alongside brick integral lateral stacks to each pavilion. The façade is arranged with one, two, two, two, and one bays, with projecting gabled end pavilions. The windows are glazing bar sashes, each with a rendered brick flat arch above. The doors in the second, fourth, and seventh bays are six-panelled, with raised and fielded top panels and two flush bottom panels, and rectangular overlights with margin lights. These doors are set within doorcases featuring pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice. The three-bay return fronts have central six-panelled doors with rectangular overlights, pilastered doorcases, and later porches. The interiors have not been inspected.
