Shown on O.S. map as Stall Cottage and No. 2 (Lower House). House, now divided. Probably early C17, remodelled and probably extended in the mid-to late C19. Timber framed, partly rebuilt or refaced and extended in coursed rubblestone with red brick dressings, pebbledashed to left; right-hand gable end of red brick; plain tile roof. 2 framed bays with later one-room additions at each end. One storey and attic. Large central brick ridge stack and integral brick end stack to left; 2 large gabled eaves dormers with 3-light wooden casements. 4-window front; two C20 two-light segmental-headed casements to left flanking C20 half-glazed door, and C19 two- and 3-light segmental-headed wooden casements flanking boarded door to right. Interior of right-hand cottage: ground-floor room with deep-chamfered beam, plain joists and large open fireplace with ogee-stopped chamfered beam and mantlepiece; jowls of posts visible in attic room; collar and cambered tie-beam trusses with queen struts and v-struts; pairs of purlins with wind braces.
