MINSTERLEY C.P. CALLOW LANE (North side) The Callow

Cottage. Late C17 early C18 with probably later C18 or C19 alterations and additions and C20 addition. Timber framed with painted brick nogging; coursed sandstone rubble end wall and refaced and partly rebuilt in painted brick to right; C20 asbestos slate roof. 2 framed bays aligned approximately north-south at right angles to road with later addition to south. Framing: light rectangular panels. One storey and attic with 2 storey addition. West front: integral brick end stack to right and brick ridge stack off-centre to right; C19 gabled semi-dormer off-centre to right with 4-pane sash and scalloped barge boards. First-floor C19 two-light wooden casement to right; 3 ground-floor C20 two-light wooden casements; two C20 glazed doors between first and second windows from left with C20 lean-to glazed porch. C20 lean-to addition at rear. Interior not inspected.
