SO58NW MILLICHOPE PARK 1312-1/11/167 Rushbury Lodge approximately 750 metres north of Millichope Park

Lodge. Early C19. Stone rubble, coursed rubble pilasters with simple ashlar band forming entablature. Plain-tile roof with 3 slightly projecting gable wood verges and linking wood cornices forming simple pediments. Central brick ridge stack. T-shaped plan of projecting gable and cross wing behind, with pedimented gable at the end of each wing. EXTERIOR: single storey and basement. Front with pairs of pilasters each side of opening in central gable-end form a simple portico covering 4-panelled front door. Return sides of wing with opposing wood mullion and transom windows in brick segmental-arched openings. Rear: 2 wood mullion and transom windows in brick segmental arched openings with a single window of the same type in each return gable-end, left gable-end with small C20 lean-to extension. 2 basement casements flanking central door. INTERIOR: not inspected. Built in the same architectural style and date as the Estate Yard Cottage group (qv).
