Description

This is a milestone located approximately 160 metres north of Blackwell Cottage, dating from the mid-to-late 19th century. It is made of white painted stone with a black base and black lettering. The top of the milestone is lettered with "MILES" in a radial arrangement, although this was not legible during the last survey in October 1984. The milestone also features the distances to B. Castle (5 miles), Clun (1 mile), and Knighton (8 miles). It is part of a complete series, similar to the one at Colstey Bank. Blackwell Cottage itself is not included in this listing.
