Description

Laurence House comprises two houses dating from the late 18th century, located on Mill Street in Ludlow. The front of the building is roughcast, with a Welsh slate roof, and a rear section with plain tile roofing. Two brick ridge stacks are visible, one positioned centrally. The building is three storeys high, plus a cellar, and features a six-window facade. The windows are predominantly 6/6 sashes with cambered heads; five are two-light windows with glazing bars and metal casements. To the right of the facade is a passage leading to the rear, with a plank door. A central 20th-century entrance incorporates a part-glazed door and overlight, sheltered by a flat hood supported on pilasters, flanked by sash windows in moulded surrounds. The entrance to the left-hand house (No.4) has a six-panel door, set beneath a moulded pediment hood resting on reeded pilasters.
