LEE BROCKHURST C.P. CHURCH ROAD SJ 52 NW (south-west side) 11/5 Nos. 5 and 6 - GV II Farmhouse, now divided into 2 cottages. Mid-C17 with later additions and alterations. Timber framed with painted brick infill; slate roof. One storey and attic; apparently of 3 framed bays. Framing: rectangular panels, 2 from cill to wall-plate with short straight tension braces; v-struts from collars to both gable ends. Three casements to ground floor, those to left C20, that to right late C19; prominent gabled half-dormer to left remodelled C20 with contemporary casement inserted, C19 gabled eaves dormer to right. Integral red brick end stack to left and similar internal end stack to right in front of ridge. Mid- C20 flat-roofed brick additions attached to left and right corners are not of special architectural interest.
