Description
Toll Cottage is a toll house dating from 1848, now used as a house. It has a roughcast exterior and a plain tile roof with a central gable facing the road, along with a brick end stack. The building is single-storey with an attic and features a central porch that has side openings and contains a plank door. On either side of the porch are 2-light casement windows, and there is a 2-light casement window in the gable, which has a tablet inscribed with "John Overton Builder, 1848". The returned sides of the building are made of rubble with ashlar quoins at the front. There is a 20th-century wing at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
