Description
Old Newton is a 17th-century house located in Craven Arms. It features a timber-frame and plaster construction with a plain tile roof and a central brick ridge stack. The building is single-storey with an attic. The front has a central 20th-century plank door that is sheltered by a simple hood supported by wrought-iron brackets. On either side of the door are 19th-century two-light metal casements. To the left, there is a simple blocked doorway with a four-centred arched hood. The house has two gabled dormers, each with 19th-century two-light casements. The left side of the building has a brick lean-to with a 20th-century light above it, while the right side is finished with roughcast laths. The interior has not been inspected.
