Description
This is a pair of houses located at 2 and 3 Cross Hill, built around 1800. They are constructed of brick and feature a low-pitched roof that is not visible behind the parapet eaves cornice. The buildings are three stories tall, each with a symmetrical three-window layout. The outer doorways are framed by simple moulded wood architraves, and the windows are 12-pane sash windows with flat arched stuccoed heads. In No. 3, one of the lower windows is a wide 16-pane window in a moulded case, which was added in the early 19th century, likely related to its use as a shop. There is a sill band at the first floor level, and both houses have axial stacks.
