Description

The Glover Tomb is a chest tomb located approximately 9 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St Mary. It dates from around 1804 and is constructed of ashlar stone. The tomb features fluted corner pilasters, semi-circular panelled sides, raised oval ends, and a moulded top. On the northern side, it is inscribed with the words "In Memory of ROBERT GLOVER late of Burlington, who died 19th March 1804."
