Description

The Knight memorial is located approximately 10 metres to the south-west of the west tower of the Church of Saint Bartholomew in Moreton Corbet. This headstone, dated 1734, is made of grey sandstone and features an exuberant scrolled Baroque surround. In the centre, there is a scrolled panel that is inscribed with the following text: "Here lyeth/the Body of Ann/the wife of/Thomas Knight/who was interred/December the 20/1734/Aged 67".
