Description

This is a dovecote located approximately 180 metres southeast of The Hurst, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed and squared limestone and features a moulded wooden eaves-cornice. The roof is made of graded stone slate and has an ogee-headed cupola with arched glazed lights and a weathervane on top. The dovecote has an octagonal plan, with a doorway on the north side and small windows positioned in the cardinal directions. Inside, there is a potence (though the ladder is missing) and nesting boxes.
