Description

Clun Farmhouse is a farmhouse, likely dating to the 16th or 17th century, with probable alterations in the mid-to-late 19th century. It was shown on Ordnance Survey maps as The Farm. The building is probably timber-framed, though it has been refaced or rebuilt using coursed limestone rubble, with the eaves of the main range raised. It has a slate roof. The house follows a "T" plan, with a gabled cross wing projecting to the right. It has two stories and a basement. There is an integral brick end-stack to the left, a 20th-century external lateral brick stack to the right, and a brick end-stack at the rear of the cross wing. The main range to the left has a first-floor 3-light casement window from the 19th century, a ground-floor 2-light casement window from the 19th century, and a late 20th-century four-panelled door in the angle to the right. The cross wing has one 3-light 19th-century casement window on each floor, set under flat-arched heads, and a blocked segmental-arched basement opening.
