Stables Approximately 30 Metres To South Of Hogstow Mill

The stables, located approximately 30 metres south of Hogstow Mill, are likely from the late 18th century or early 19th century. They are constructed from squared and coursed, as well as uncoursed, yellow and grey sandstone rubble, with red brick dressings and a plain tile roof. The building is one storey with a loft and features a dentil brick eaves cornice. There are three boarded loft doors and five wooden windows that are either round- or depressed-arched, along with three alternating round- and depressed-arched stable doors. The structure appears to have been built in three phases, indicated by two straight joints. The interior has not been inspected. These stables are part of a complete mill group that includes the mill, a house, and a barn, which adds to their group value.
