Description
The stables located to the west of Woodmancote Place are a Grade II listed building. They date from the early 17th century and were altered in the 18th century. The main structure is timber-framed with sandstone infill set on a deep sandstone plinth. The south elevation is tile hung, and the roof is covered with half-hipped Horsham stone slabs, except for the western side, which is tiled. There are some mainly 20th-century openings and a stable door. Inside, the stables feature 19th-century stall partitions made of tongued and grooved boarding, supported by iron posts and railings above.
To the west of the stables is an 18th-century outbuilding constructed of red brick in English bond, also featuring a half-hipped Horsham stone slab roof. This outbuilding is one storey high and has attics, with two 20th-century casement windows. To the east, there is an early 19th-century stable extension made of red brick in English bond, with a roof that is partly covered in Horsham stone slabs and partly in slate.
