Description
The terrace retaining wall, located approximately 15 metres to the south of Golding, is a Grade II listed structure dating from the 17th century, with additions from the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of red brick and features a red sandstone coping. The wall is L-shaped, measuring about 40 metres in length and 5 metres in height. It includes a central flight of 16 stone steps that has a stone-coped parapet. To the left, there are four raking buttresses, likely from the 18th century, and to the right, there is a later wide buttress. This wall is part of a terraced garden situated to the south of Golding.
