Description
This is a terrace retaining wall built around 1846 and restored in the late 20th century, located approximately 10 metres to the north-west, north-east, and south-east of Glenthorne. The wall is constructed of uncoursed stone rubble with ashlar dressings. It has an irregular U-shape plan that curves out at each end. The structure features diagonal buttresses with chamfered offsets and a balustrade with square dies, which are angled over the buttresses at the corners and topped with urn finials. There is a flight of 15 stone steps to the north-east, running parallel to the wall.
