Description
Oare Bridge is a road bridge that crosses Oare Water, possibly dating from the 18th century. It is constructed from random rubble using local stone. The bridge features a single arch span with a splayed semi-circular arch that is humpbacked. The arch is made of rubble voussoirs, and the coping is hit and miss. The parapets are swept back. The bridge is also designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument (Somerset County No 229).
