Description
Lillycombe Bungalow is a cottage built in 1912, likely designed by C F A Voysey for Lady Lovelace. The building features roughcast over rubble and has a central steeply pitched pyramid roof with parallel hipped cross wings. It has overhanging eaves with sprockets and is covered with graduated West Somerset slates, topped by a large central roughcast stack. The bungalow has a centralized plan with parallel ranges and is designed in the Arts and Crafts style. The south front is single storey with a layout of 1:2:1 bays, including a plank door on the left and two sets of many-paned casement windows on the right. Lillycombe Bungalow is part of a notable group alongside Stable Cottage and Lillycombe House to the west, and it is said to be one of six bungalows designed by Voysey for Lady Lovelace.
