Description
Wells Farmhouse and the adjoining cowhouses are a farmhouse and cowhouses dated 1732, with eaves raised and remodeled in the mid-to-late 19th century. The farmhouse is built from limewashed coursed limestone rubble and features a slate roof. It has two storeys and a rendered integral end stack on the left side. The front has two windows, which are 19th-century two-light wooden casements, and a central half-glazed door.
The cowhouses, dating from the 18th and 19th centuries, consist of two parts. They are constructed with a weatherboarded timber frame and have a coursed rubble cross-wall, topped with a corrugated iron roof. The cowhouses include two boarded loft doors and three boarded doors on the ground floor.
