Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century, with alterations and additions from the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of local brick and features a hipped collyweston stone slate roof. The main building has two rear stacks, while the rear wing has a gable end stack. The structure is two storeys high with attics and cellars, and there is an additional one-storey wing at the rear, creating an L-shape.
The symmetrical facade has three bays, which have been modified by the addition of two square bay windows that share a common pent roof. The central entrance features a four-panelled door topped by a rectangular fanlight. On the first floor, there are three four-paned hung sash windows with segmental brick arches, along with three hipped dormer windows that have casements. The interior includes some 18th-century details alongside 19th-century replacements. An estate map from 1770 shows the property associated with William Wells.
