Description

Two tombstones located seven metres east of the chancel of St Nicholas Parish Church are 18th century limestone slabs. They feature segmental and flat heads, with carved angel heads and wings, as well as raised shaped plaques. The inscriptions on the tombstones are unclear, but they are lettered from south to north with the letters "u" and "v". These tombstones are noted in the work "Cottrell, D J Monumental Inscriptions 1722-1975" published in 1978.
