Description

A pair of houses dating from the early 19th century, with later additions and alterations. The houses are constructed of red brick with a slate roof, featuring a prominent ridge stack in the centre. They are three storeys high and have a yellow brick dentilled eaves cornice. No. 50 (on the left) has three windows with 16-pane glazing bar sashes, while No. 48 (on the right) has a single window with a 4-pane sash. All windows have yellow brick gauged heads. No. 50 features an open-pedimented doorcase with panelled reveals and a fanlight, now incorporating a late 20th-century neo-Georgian door. No. 48 has a plain boarded door, and to the left of No. 50 is a round-arched passageway.
