Description

The John and Sarah Ward memorial is a chest tomb dating from the early 19th century, located about 5 meters west of the tower of St. Andrew in Kemberton. It is made of painted sandstone and features semi-circular inscription panels on the long sides, fluted spandrels, reeded pilasters, and a capping. The memorial is enclosed by a wrought iron railing with standards topped by urns. John Ward passed away in 1797, and his wife Sarah died in 1807.
