Description
Kemberton House is a house dating from the early to mid-18th century, with later additions and alterations. It is constructed of red brick on a sandstone plinth, with brick floor bands and projecting eaves featuring a coved plastered cornice. The roof is covered with plain tiles, and the house has two tall, slightly projecting, tapering end stacks. The house has two storeys and a gable-lit attic, with five bays. The windows are all 19th-century side-hung casements with segmental heads. A recessed central entrance is topped by a round-headed doorway flanked by benches, and features a six-panel door with a wreathed radiating fanlight. The property was formerly known as Poplars Farmhouse.
