Description
Evelith Millhouse is an early 19th-century mill house located on the north side of Evelith Lane in Shifnal. The building is constructed of red brick and features a hipped slate roof. It stands two storeys tall and is characterized by giant end pilaster strips, a coved wooden eaves cornice, and ridge stacks that are off-centre to the left and right. The façade consists of three bays with glazing bar sashes that have likely painted cast iron keyed lintels. The first-floor central window has later French casements. The entrance is a central half-glazed door with panelled reveals and a reeded architrave, sheltered by a porch supported by paired Tuscan columns, which holds up a half architrave, frieze, cornice, and blocking course. The building also has two bay side elevations.
