Description
No. 2, Manor Cottages is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick and features an old tile roof. The building has two storeys, with parapeted gable ends, an end stack to the south, and a stack off the ridge to the west.
The west front includes three first-floor glazing-bar sash windows. On the ground floor, there is a 19th-century segmental-headed wooden mullioned and transomed window to the right, and a 20th-century casement window to the left. To the left, there is a segmental-headed boarded door and a 20th-century lean-to porch.
To the north, there is a garden wall that is approximately 25 metres long and 1.5 metres high, made of squared and coursed sandstone and red brick. The wall features chamfered stone coping that ramps up to the house at the south end, and there is a gate to the north. The wall is included for its group value.
