Description
This is a group of three memorials located approximately 5 metres south of the Church of Holy Trinity in Baswich, Stafford. The group consists of a chest tomb and two headstones. The chest tomb commemorates Abraham and Margaret Ward, who died in 1793 and 1798, as well as Elizabeth and John, who died in 1823 and 1824. It is made of ashlar and features pointed arched panels on the balusters, oval panels on the sides, and a moulded cap. One headstone is dedicated to Abraham Ward, who died in 1726, and includes a cartouche with an inscription and a cherub above it. The second headstone, located to the left, is also for Abraham Ward, who died in 1733.
