Description

This is a group of four headstones and a chest tomb located immediately south of the Church of Holy Trinity in Baswich, Stafford. The tomb is made of limestone and commemorates members of the Bradbury family who died between 1756 and 1810. It features cabled angle balusters, a panel with concave angles, an oval panel, and a moulded cap.

One headstone belongs to Henry Reding, who died in 1866, but it is not of special architectural interest. Another headstone commemorates Samuel Twigg, who died in 1747, and features a nowy-headed panel with egg-and-dart moulding and a cherub above the inscription. There are also headstones for Roger Twigg, who died in 1737, and Tomasin Twigg, who died in 1739; both of these headstones have cartouches adorned with Rococo scrolls and cherubs above.
