Description

The Horse Shoe Inn is a house that has been converted into an inn. It dates from the 18th century and has undergone alterations in the late 19th century, along with some additions in the late 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of rendered brick and has a plain tile roof, featuring a three-room baffle-entry plan.

The inn is two storeys high and includes a plinth and a plat band. There is a rendered brick ridge stack above a door that is off-centre to the left, as well as a rendered external brick end stack to the right. The windows are late 19th-century wooden casements, with three two-light windows on the first floor and a two-light window with a segmental relieving arch on the ground floor to the right, alongside a three-light window to the left. There is a late 19th-century gabled brick porch situated between the first and second windows from the left, which features a dentil brick eaves cornice, a verge, and a segmental-headed six-panelled door.

To the left, there is a late 19th-century one-storey addition that is set forward and includes three two-light wooden casements. A 20th-century addition is set forward to the right and wraps around the front of the inn, featuring a gable to the right, along with 20th-century casements and a pair of boarded doors to the right.

Inside, the inn features chamfered ceiling beams and an open fireplace.
