Description
The kitchen garden wall, built between 1805 and 1806, is located approximately 80 meters north-east of Pradoe. It is constructed of red brick, which appears to reuse mid-18th century bricks, and was repaired in 1826. The wall features sandstone ashlar coping, although some sections have been replaced with tile or slate capping. There is also some early 19th century brickwork on the south side. The wall encloses a rectangular area measuring approximately 90 by 60 meters and includes red brick pilasters on all sides, as well as built-in heating flues on the north side. A square-headed entrance with a stone surround is located on the south side. The construction utilized 6,000 bricks and cost £286. 18s. This structure is included for its group value.
