Description
The kitchen garden wall at Madingley Hall dates from the mid-18th century, with some repairs made in the 20th century. It is constructed of red brick, featuring some random burnt brick, and retains original moulded brick coping in the center of the east wall. The garden is divided into two sections by a cross wall, which is also from the mid-18th century. In 1908, part of the wall on the north side was taken down and rebuilt at a lower height, flanked by rusticated piers in an early 18th-century style, and topped with early 18th-century stone urns that were brought from Histon Manor.
