Description

The bridge at the entrance to Madingley Hall is a sham bridge built in the mid-18th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a partially repaired parapet, along with three round-headed arches on the north side, with the central arch being larger than the others. This bridge is associated with the landscaping works carried out by Capability Brown for Sir John Hynde Cotton, the fourth baronet, in 1756.
