Description
The North Terrace retaining wall and balustrade at the Pleasure Garden of Madingley Hall were built between 1913 and 1914. Constructed from brick and limestone, the terrace features an arcaded balustrade with square piers that are decorated with jewelled panels. These piers are topped with ball finials and obelisks at the corners. Steps descend from the terrace to the garden, which was also designed during this period.
