Description
The Lodge at the entrance to Madingley Hall is a lodge built between 1908 and 1909. It features a brick structure with painted and applied timber-framing, topped with a half-hipped thatched roof and tall red brick chimneys with projecting capping. The building has a hall and crosswing plan and is designed in a vernacular revival style. It stands two storeys high, with the first floor of the crosswing jettied. The windows are leaded high casements, and there is a boarded door with cover strips. The lodge was constructed by Colonel Harding and is included for its group value.
