CONDOVER C.P. STAPLETON Barn approximately 40m south-west of Olde Farmhouse

GV II

Barn. Early C19 in appearance but possibly earlier. Red brick with timber framed and brick addition, plain tile roof. Main range on 2 levels; double doors to left of centre with 3 eaves hatches to left, right of centre and right; 3 lozenge-shaped air vents to left and 4 to right of double doors with 4 rows of perforations above and one below; 10 rows of perforations to south-east gable. Lower range with light timber framing (C19), attached to north-west gable. Interior: inspection not possible at time of re- survey (1985), but exposed purlin ends suggest the, C19 brick-work may be the casing of an earlier building.
