Description
This is a barn and cowhouses located approximately 10 metres to the south-west of Bryn Farmhouse. The barn likely dates from the 17th century, with additions made in the mid- to late-19th century. The structure consists of a long range of farm buildings aligned from south-west to north-east. The central barn is weatherboarded and timber-framed, featuring a coursed rubblestone plinth, with one bay partially rebuilt in rubble stone and a stone slate roof. On either side of the barn are coursed rubblestone cowhouses topped with a 19th-century slate roof. The buildings are one storey high with a loft. The barn has six boarded loft doors and six ground-floor doors, along with a pair of late 20th-century doors on the left. The cowhouses have single boarded doors and gable-lit lofts, with the left cowhouse featuring a lean-to at the rear.
