10/175 Barn and Cowhouse - approximately 15 metres to North of Pentre Farmhouse

Barn and cowhouse. Early C19. Long range of farmbuildings aligned approximately North-South with weatherboard timber framed barn to North with rubble plinth and slate roof and cowhouse to South with coursed limestone rubble groundfloor, weatherboarded timber framed first floor, and slate roof. West front: barn to left with 3 pitching openings and 2 boarded doors; pair of large central boarded cart-doors at rear. Cowhouse to right with 3 boarded hayloft doors, ground floor. doorway to left and small window to right; doorway and 3 narrow vents in ground floor of right-hand gable-end. This range of buildings forms part of a complete large early C19 farm group in the middle of the hamlet. [See Pentre Farmhouse and cowhouse to North (q.v.)].
