Description

The Raven Hotel, located at No 30 on Barrow Street in Much Wenlock, dates from around 1800. This three-storey building is finished in stucco and features three sash windows with painted reveals. It has two moulded wood doorcases, with the central entrance screened by a moulded wood canopied projection that includes a balconette. The building is adorned with decorative bands and has plain eaves. An excellent wrought-iron inn-sign adds to its charm. There is also a single-storey, two-light wing attached to the main structure.
