Description

Nos 25 and 26 Barrow Street are a pair of early 19th century buildings in Much Wenlock. The walls are originally of stone, but have been largely re-faced with painted brick. The buildings are single-storey with an attic, although No. 25 has an advanced, two-storey and attic gabled wing. The windows are modern replacements. No. 25 features an early leaded-light window in its gable. There are two original chimney stacks; the one on No. 25 has distinctive diagonal brick shafts built on stone plinths. The buildings are relatively modest in scale and have undergone significant alterations over time. They form a group with Nos 24 to 29 Barrow Street.
