Description

No. 14 Church Street is an early 19th-century house built over a shop. The building is constructed of brick with a dentil course along the eaves and stepped corbelled verges. It has a plain-tile roof and integral brick gable end stacks.

The exterior is two storeys and an attic, with a three-window front. The windows are 6/6 sashes contained within painted reveals and painted segmental-arched lintels. A double-fronted shop window with projecting box bays flanks a central doorway, all beneath a continuous fascia, dating from the mid-19th century. The doorway has a round-headed surround and fanlight, with small 20th-century windows to the gable-end returns. The interior was not inspected during the listing process.

The building is included on the list for group value.
